Why Should You Use Pinterest for Your Biz
Revisiting your social media strategy? Have you ever thought of adding Pinterest to the mix of social media platforms you will utilize for your biz?
Pinterest is perhaps one of the most under-utilized social platforms for businesses. It’s always seen as an inspiration board or a platform where one goes to for DIY ideas - but what if I tell you that is the exact reason why you should be present on this platform?
In this post, I will give you four reasons why you should explore it for your business.
Five Reasons Why You Should Be Exploring Pinterest for Your Business:
More and More People Are Using The Platform
Fun Fact: Pinterest has now more monthly active users than Twitter and Snapchat combined.
Yes! Data does not lie, it now has 450 million active users. Now, that’s a lot of audience to reach if you have a good Pinterest strategy and you stay consistent in using the platform!
To Drive More Traffic To Your Site or Social Media Profile
Unlike Instagram, where you can only have one link placed in your bio, each post on Pinterest can be linked to a specific product on your store, your home page or a blog post.
So what does this mean for your biz? If you create eye-catching pins, use the right keywords, and continuously share content on Pinterest you are attracting targeted traffic to your site.
Another clever way of using it is to drive more traffic to your posts on Instagram or TikTok! Now, talk about getting more eye-balls to your good content!
Get More Conversions
As mentioned above, people planning on renovating their home, learning new trends, working on a craft, or looking for inspiration or scrolling through Pinterest and saving pins on their boards.
Let me paint a scenario for you, someone is looking forward to renovating their home. That person will then search “boho furniture feel” or “boho feel home ideas”. If you included those keywords to your title, caption, and image name you will get seen on the search results. That person will then see your pin, save it and check out your product listing. As compared to the other platforms, you know that people on Pinterest already have the intention of taking action so there is a higher chance of getting conversion - especially if your pin is saved in one of their boards.
Engagement is Higher
As compared to other platforms, if you create high-quality pins, post them on relevant personal and group boards, you will get higher engagement. The key here is in creating good pins and ensuring you consider relevant keywords when you create the title and the caption
Content Lives Longer
Now, this is one of my favorite benefits of Pinterest. Even if you have posted a pin last month if it is of good quality you will still get good engagement from it. I can personally attest to that, handling one of my client’s Pinterest accounts I can see one pin from December 2020 gaining more clicks and saves! It’s not a promoted pin, but to date, it has gained 100k organic impressions since December 2020. Now, you won’t be able to see that vs other platforms which favor fresh content.
Now, those are just some of the few reasons why you should start integrating Pinterest into your strategy! Unsure how to proceed with Pinterest? Why not work with me to discuss how we can approach your social strategy?
