What Content To Use on Pinterest if You Don’t Have a Blog for Your Business

Heard about Pinterest and wondering if you can jump in and give the platform a try? I see you! One of the follow-up questions I usually get from my IG followers and prospective clients - what can I pin if I don’t have a blog?

If you are in a similar position, where you want to get started on Pinterest but don’t have a blog yet for your business, let me share with you different types of content you can start promoting or linking on Pinterest!

Seven Other Types of Content to Link on Pinterest:

1. Your epic lead magnet landing page

Are you offering a freebie? An eBook, worksheet, free webinar or even Canva sampler kit? You can start promoting this on Pinterest! You won’t even have to just create one pin for it - create as many as you can using different templates, different colors, and different headlines.

2. Your Etsy Store

If you are like me and you have an Etsy store, you can start pinning your products on Pinterest.

Depending on what product you are selling, you can explore many different pin designs for it.

If you are selling a digital product like me, you can highlight what they can expect when they get it or showcase screenshots of the ebook or template you will be selling.

If you are selling an actual product, you can highlight how it will look when worn or displayed - giving them a glimpse of what it will be like when they purchase the product you are offering on Etsy.

Make sure to check out my Etsy store, which I recently launched to check out made for you social media templates for your business.

3. Your shop page on your website

The idea is the same as with the Etsy store - depending on what you are selling you can highlight them on Pinterest.

Just be as creative as you possibly can when creating those pins and don’t just limit yourself to one pin for one product.

4. Your Instagram Posts

If you are a coach or if you have a lot of content on Instagram already - you can use link them on Pinterest too!

To be honest, I started pinning by promoting my Instagram posts, it was after a few months that I shifted to promoting my blog content and website.

Will it benefit your Instagram account? Yes, as it can drive clicks going to your Instagram posts coming from Pinterest. Aside from that, you will be able to establish your presence on Pinterest too!

For Instagram posts I want to promote on Pinterest, I try to at least create 7-10 pins per IG post (say what?). Yes, it is possible and you can get a view of how I do it in this post.

5. YouTube content

Do you have a lot of existing video content uploaded on YouTube? Why yes, you can also start linking them and promoting them on Pinterest.

It doesn’t matter if they are old content, if they are still relevant to your audience, you can create pins for them and start pinning them. The strategy is to explore different pin designs and discover what works and what doesn’t combined with your keyword strategy.

6. Your digital courses

Are you offering digital courses? You can also promote and link them on Pinterest.

People are already exploring on Pinterest, searching for certain keywords, if you know that your niche for your courses is on Pinterest - why not also promote it on Pinterest?

Design a pin that has a hook that will make them curious to click and go to your Digital Course landing page.

7. Your Podcast

If you are catering and promoting your offers through your podcast, you can also pin that on Pinterest!

Designs can already tease for the new podcast you have or focus on topic to be discussed as your Pinterest headline. It will all depend on you and how you maximize each podcast episode you have.

Key Takeaways:

You can practically promote anything that has a link on Pinterest. You just need a good strategy for it and remember that consistency and patience is crucial for Pinterest to start sending traffic to your website.
