How to make content creation easier
Are you all set with your content calendar? Perhaps one of the hardest parts of promoting your business on social media is creating content. For sure, in the beginning, it can seem like an easy task but doing it all by yourself can be hard.
So here are five tips to make it easier for you so you can allocate more time doing other important things for your business.
1. Identify Your Audience
This is such a crucial step to take.
Remember, you are not creating your content for yourself - you are creating it for your business and for your ideal audience. Research about them, get to know them better - you can read my detailed blog post on how you can identify your market here: Target Market 101
They should be front and center when you are making your content - it should cater to them and not to you.
2. Don’t overthink it
I know it can be hard at first, you will probably think you need to dig or write deeper but don’t. When an idea pops into your mind make sure you write it down or type it out on your phone. Oftentimes, those content ideas you suddenly get are golden!
3. Scroll less
In scrolling, it can be so easy to get lost with all of the posts you see from competitor accounts, coaches, and influencers. What can happen is that you start overthinking things because you consume more content than you create. You can take the first step of helping get rid of the clutter in your mind by muting accounts that don't help inspire you to create content.
4. Batch create content
Schedule in a day or two or three to work out all of your content for the month. It will be hard at first, especially when you have other things going on, but setting aside time to do it will actually free your schedule up from the daily pressure of creating a new post.
You can start it out first with a week’s worth of content then progress it to two weeks then to a month’s worth of posts. You will feel so accomplished after doing so AND you are training your mind to focus on that specific task at hand only!
5. Take a break
I cannot stress this enough but please do not underestimate the power that is in taking a break. You need it to recharge and refresh your mind. AND you DESERVE it!
It can be tempting to continue going out doing your to-dos but hustling non-stop can affect your creativity and lead to burnout. So make sure you schedule your downtime at least once or twice a week (weekends are made for this).
